How Can I Get to Heaven; The Bible's Teaching on Salvation-Made Easy to Understand Not by Faith Alone : A Biblical Study of the Catholic Doctrine of Justification by Robert Sungenis. This book examines, in detail, the Catholic teaching on Justification and it's Scriptural basis. This is done with strong emphasis on contrasting this teaching with the various teachings of the various protestant denominations (and "non-denominations"). It's a slow read (I'm half-way through), but you learn a lot in reading it. The same author has another book out now, How Can I Get to Heaven; The Bible's Teaching on Salvation-Made Easy to Understand that's shorter and is more focussed on explaining the Catholic teaching without worrying about the Protestant position(s) so much.
Not by Scripture Alone Not by Scripture Alone; A Catholic Critique of the Protestant Doctrine of Sola Scriptura by Robert Sungenis. This one's a slow read, but worth it. It goes into amazing detail examining the Protestant doctrine of sola scriptura to see if it is consistent with either Scripture or Christian History.
